We flew internationally on UA flight in the beginning of December. Right after this trip we found out that our passport information got stores on our UA profile. Since we do not like to have our passport number on file, we investigated a bit further. Right next to the passport details there is a small note, "How did we get this information". After clicking on it we read: During your recent self check in you opted to save this information on file".
There is no button indicating we can remove this ourselves from the profile.

Here's the trick: during the travel we went through First class check in with a real person, not self check in and in no case were we asked if we would like to store our passport information on file.

I contacted UA service rep 5 weeks ago, was told I have to talk to their On line support rep. which I did, was promised since there is no Edit button next to the passport information and United is aware of this glitch, that the information will be removed in 48 hours.

After 4 days nothing happened, I called again, talked to another supervisor, was assured the information will be removed, it may take few ore days....

10 days later, the information was still not removed, after another call and another promise to be patient I wanted again.

now 5 weeks later our accounts are still showing the passport info and I am at loss on how to get it removed.

What should I do?
