We had the same question on my wife's offer. She wrote to MP and asked that question, specifically. Yes, the EQMs will count both for this offer and toward 2012 status.
The other question she asked was about the bonus EQMs for full fares. As was reported earlier, MP says these do not count toward the offer. We have two FF trips planned that would have picked up over 4500 of the 17,500 she would need just in the bonus EQMs. Without these it is going to be hard to make the time to log enough miles. I think we are going to end up passing on her offer.
