Miles Posting All at Once or in Increments?
Hi all,
New to FlyerTalk, but I've been reading here and there for a while.
I signed up for the Delta Amex Gold offer (previously had the Classic Delta Amex back around 2004-2005, canceled mid 2006) -- and in my first month I spent just over $3,000 to qualify for the 45,000 bonus miles.
However, in my SkyMiles account now that the first billing cycle has closed, I only see the miles from the purchase (i.e. 3,100 miles from spending $3100) + a 10,000 mile bonus. AmEx CSR said I was definitely signed up for 45,000, but the miles will post for the purchase bonus later (10,000 for signing up, 35,000 additional for spending the $3,000) -- and that the purchase bonus will not appear until 2-4 weeks after meeting the spending requirement.
Has this been anyone else's experience, or is there something wrong with my account?
