By your logic, when an XM aircraft is used on say, YVR-YYZ, it should not be sold as ExecutiveClass since it's marketed as ExecutiveFirst on overseas routes.
That one may live closer to Europe (YHZ-LHR) than Hawai'i (YVR-OGG) is not relevant. The option remains for the airline to offer the price and for you to accept or decline to pay.
I fully appreciate the difference between Executive / Executive First etc. However, from your comments I can only assume you may not have experienced the "J " seats as offered on the 3 Amigos. The seats are
not comparable to the domestic "J" seats offered on 319/320/321/Embrayer . No footrest, nothing like as much personal space , only a Y style fold down tray from the seat in front, 1 TV screen for the entire cabin (1970's style) etc. My point is simply that the situation is recognized in the pricing to Europe but not recognized on the Hawaiian flights. To make me "happy" and, for fairness, the entire aircraft for the Hawiian flights (via Amigos) ought to be marketed as Y (as with Europe) with a premium for the so called Comfort seat upgrade. OK - yes - I rush to acknowledge that AC is fully entitled to sell its product for whatever price the market will bear.
