My partner and I have not been to Myanmar...a personal decision not to support the brutally oppressive military junta...although we would otherwise love to visit this fascinating country. I don't think I would go to Myanmar for 'fun', but it would certainly be interesting and educational.

If you want some fun, you might want to consider Siem Reap, Cambodia. The temples of Angkor are amazing, and there is plenty of nightlife including a small gay scene.

FYI...April is extremely hot and humid.
