Very, very nice...everything, that is, re: the way you are treated by the hotel staff. The relationship you have w/ the manager is just amazing.
BTW, am I the only one for whom reading the sentence "her kids even make me Rice Crispy Squares when they know I am coming through" induced a lump in the throat?
It's heartwarming to hear of such a special relationship between customer & vendor, & of such heartfelt exchanged kindnesses...
I'll always find it touching when anyone at a hotel remembers my name, let alone when they go out of their way to do something kind for me. I think many people underestimate the impact they can have on the "mood" of one's stay. I remain grateful for all of the kind souls who deal w/ me personally, & amiably. They make a difference. And the spirit of generosity encountered at times is downright moving.
