I stay at one 4-Points in particular and they are out of this world (I don't want to give their name because I don't want to get them in trouble). They tell me that when I am coming through town to book myself a room on the internet regardless of price shown to make sure that I get the 500 point bonus and they automatically reduce my rate to an agreed price in the high season which match's off season rates. They also allow me to book any lower rate on the net and are happy if I am able to save $$$ not making me stay with the fixed rate. The result is at around 20 to 25 nights with them this year at this one property.

There have been exactly 3 times in the last 2 years that they haven't been able to upgrade me to at least a jacuzzi room. Usually a suite with fireplace and even the Honeymoon Suite when not booked. I have repeatidly told them that if they can sell these higher end rooms that I would glady take a regualr room so they increase their revenue and can keep my rates down. Like I said, it just doesn't happen.

I am taking Mrs. Cattle with me on Labour Day weekend for my final Free Fri & Sat. They were so happy to hear this that they already booked us into a Jacuzzi Suite and we are going to the managers home for a BBQ. Her kids even make me Rice Crispy Squares when they know I am coming through. Mrs. Cattle sometimes sends home made cookies in kind.

If you are able to work out a good deal for your stays I would encourage you to get to know they staff. It can make all the difference and I know that they appreciate it when they have friendly guests as well. Besides I consider this hotel my 2nd home and its always nice to be near family

All these great things and I get my points and status nights.
