Apology from pilot about no wi-fi?
Flew on DL 1929 this morning from ATL-SEA on a 767-300ER. As we were taxiing the pilot made an announcement apologizing that our aircraft was normally used for international service and therefore did not have wifi on-board?
Has anyone ever heard that before? Not sure where flight originated or if it was going somewhere international after SEA? You would think that if they are using aircraft for a few domestic trips they should still have wi-fi and then turn it off if using aircraft on an international route.
I've lost track of where DL is on updating these planes (if any), but this one was in serious need of a refurbish? No AVOD/IFE, had monitors from ceiling in economy and the one on our side of bulkhead went off when they started the movie but was on for safety video. Are any of those 767-300ER equipped with new seats or AVOD in economy?
