With this thread in mind, I encouraged a friend of mine --who didn't have a ticket yet on his way to the airport-- to give HU a shot. Since P was the same price as Y (and almost all other flights were sold out below Y), it was a pretty easy sell.

I didn't press him too hard for details because he doesn't really care about such things, but here's the quick summary:

-seats (737): more comfortable than Y
-food: fruit only
-beverages: no alcohol (I find this hard to believe, myself; perhaps he asked for something they didn't have)
-IFE: minimal (not too surprising)
-good enough flight

I also asked him:

Question: Is the 5-star rating deserved (had to explain that this entailed being better than a number of other airlines he really likes)?

Response: No

Question: How does it compare with CA/CZ/FM/MU?

Response: About the same, but poorer F&B selection.

Until I garner up enough strength to book HU myself, third party accounts like this are the best I can do.
