Received an e-mail from the Sheraton Maui thanking me for my stay 12/24-12/28 - unfortunately I was never there. I replied to the e-mail and got the following response:

I have looked through our system and I do see a reservation booked under the name of XXX through Expedia.com with an arrival date of 24 December, 2010 and departing on 28 December, 2010. It would seem as if the hotel accidentally added your email address to the reservation when it should have been sent to the other XXX. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I have a fairly common name - it's a little concerning to think hotels may be automatically linking people to my account.
