I had requested an upgrade ahead of time but it wasn't confirmed.
We were upgraded from Halifax to Toronto.
Because the upgrade was not confirmed ahead of time, my expectations were low until the AC agent at checkin in Halifax said there was "considerable" availability on the flight from YYZ to MIA
