If not flying Qantas, then check in is with the operating carrier. e.g. Fly BA and it is BA where check in is performed ( and as a OW Emerald will be able to use business line ) and , iirc, the check in signs above the desks show both BA and QF numbers or fly JQ and JQ will handle check in
QF check in desks are for checking in for QF flights
Sorry Dave, I don't want to be seen as harping on too much here, but what do you think of the information in the link I gave a few posts up, which seems to imply that Priority Checkin is still included as an SG benefit when you have a QF ticket on a codeshare?
There are competing definitions of what "QF flight" might mean. You take the hard line, that if it's not on QF metal, it's not a QF flight. But at the QP, you will hear "Qantas is pleased to announce the departure of its flight QF375 to Port Vila, codeshare with Air Vanuatu, now boarding at gate ...". So there are times when Qantas at least regards the codeshare as one of their flights.
