Hi all, back again with more confusing wedding trip BS.

I am considering, after having it suggested to me here, using car rentals to gain needed RR credits for my 2 children, in order to get award tickets, in hopes that they will somehow be useable for the wedding flights needed for my photographer and family/friends. Even if it just gets people up but not back, it would seem beneficial... "back" is about $200 and if I figure a cost of $50 one way using an award ticket (assuming availability) then it's a good deal. If nothing is available I guess we'd just have to find a use for the tickets later.

SO, each kid needs 4 credits. I previously thought one of them needed only 3 but I think one expired so now he needs 4.

I was considering the Hertz deal currently that awards 1 credit for a one day rental. It's cheap (around $24 per day with taxes included) and would basically cost me $100 for 4 RR credits = one awarded flight credit.

The biggest thing is finding the time to deal with 8 separate car rentals.. ? It sounds like a major headache and I am starting to think it is not worth it. The max credit is for a one day rental though, and it makes the most sense.

Second: is there a likelihood of another decent sale for SWA between now and early March? Wedding is March 19th. I am wondering if I might still have time to "get lucky"... I was soooo sure in the beginning that I'd find airfare from SAT to MSP for around $100ish each way and I don't know if that's unreasonable to continue to hope for at this stage in the game.
