Speaking of EEO's - I just used one (on the last possible weekend) at the JW New Orleans.
Gave one to the desk at check-in - and (thanks to the advice from FT) kept a copy in my bag. Check-in assures me there won't be any problem.
We go to check out - the bill is wrong (charged for 2 nights) - front desk has no idea what I'm talking about - I pull out the printout & give it to them - we get it corrected, and all is well.
However - we had friends with us staying in another room, using an EEO from another member (my wife's parents) - same thing - gave one at checkin, bill was wrong - but at checkout - the desk says "you can't use this, it's not in your name" - which of course, was contradicted in the TOS of the document right on it, where it says that it's 'transferable and can be used as a gift" - after we got that settled, all was well.
TL: DR - EEO's are still a pain to use in most situations, but a great perk.
