Regular first class mail would be the cheapest, but if it got lost, AA would not replace it -- right? They said to treat it like cash...
I guess there's USPS Priority with insurance or Registered mail. Also Fedex... Assuming that all of these options would probably cost in the $10-$15 range.
I can tell you that if
they send you a voucher back (for the remainder), they send that presorted first class for only $00.35. Period.

With the Milton FL return address and a "marketing fullfilment" logo on the back.
(At least that's what they do when the value of that voucher is less than $200. I don't know if it changes above a certain value or not.)
I believe you can also take it to an airport, but that adds a $30 charge as I understand. It is, however, possibly faster than any form of mail (since they can take 1-3 days after receipt to process it), especially if you need to use for a flight that's coming up soon.
