Re Off-line charges ... a perpetual bleat of mine, as I can't use ba.com to book a straightforward multi-city with MFU. So I have to call BAEC to book ...

For the last few years, all our bookings had the call-fee waived. However, when booking a couple of weeks ago the VERY helpful guy at BAEC said that they weren't allowed to waive the fee any more. Now that can obviously be taken many ways, but my gut feeling is that he was telling me the truth.

Rip-off by BA? Because they can't/won't modify ba.com to allow that? I honestly don't know, but I'm just a tad peeved that I have to pay extra because "the computer says no".
