Cons: None
The Bottom Line: James Bond can't be wrong... if you have a deep pocket and a refined taste... Cala di Volpe is the place to go.

I've been going to the Cala Di Volpe for the last 8 years. I come back every summer, year after year. Fortunately I've had the luck of traveling a lot all my life, with my parents as a kid, and on my own now. I've stayed in a lot of luxury hotels in several cities around the world and found nothing better than Cala di Volpe. Why?

The Location

Cala Di Volpe is located in the best area of Sardegna, Costa Smeralda, this area has been for decades where "la creme de la creme" of Europe have gone for vacations and it hasn't changed much for the last 50 years. The sea, pure Mediterranean, is not only beautiful and perfectly “temperatured” but also has a unique color... "Emerald". It's a little difficult to get there in a direct flight from USA or somewhere else (unless you have a private jet..), but if you fly to Rome you have everyday flights to Olvia (Sardegna's main airport). A little air-conditioned green bus will pick you up at the airport and take you to Costa Smeralda where the hotel is, this is a one hour trip more or less. As you approach you'll notice the amazing beaches and the incredible sights.
