Went back to GH SZ after a few months' absence and was quite disappointed with a few things.
Firstly, as it is Jan, the day I checked in was particular cold. I got a room on the 26th Floor. Guess what? There was problem with the hot water! Not even warm water. Completely cold. I had to turn all the hot water taps and let it run more than 10 minutes before the hot water came out. This is quite serious and disappointing. I had called about the incident and someone came. This happened at 1am right after midnight. Then it happened again at 11am in the morning.
Secondly, as indicated by other FTers, breakfast is no longer at the Show Kitchen. It is at the Grand Club. The morning that I was there, around 9am, there must be around 5 people having breakfast. I think the exisitng number of staff on hand at the GC is not enought to handle such front office duties as well as breakfast service. They should at least give an option of either having at the GC or SK.
Thirdly, when I asked for an empty box, i was told the hotel do not have any as they do not keep any. Such a simple request they could not fulfil.
Anyway, given my comments upon checkout, let's see what happen when I go back this weekend.
Btw, this is one of my favorites hotel.
