First of all....anyone know why the Alaska 897 was diverted on Wednesday night to PDX, before continuing on to Portland....looks like it turned directly for PDX after takeoff, so must have known they couldn't reach HNL with the winds and weight of plane?

Also, anyone know if the plane is truly catered in LAS.....seems weird that those first class meals may sit around for five or six hours before being served... I doubt they come out of Vancouver, because of food across the border issues.
