To correct and enlarge on a few of the posts here:
  • Domestic upgrade requests are handled differently from International requests:
    • They are granted at the time of request if there is Business Class Award (U) availability for the flight.
    • There are no wait lists for such upgrades, they are either granted or not. You can resubmit requests at a later time.
  • Alcohol is available in Business class during the flight; one simply needs to request it if it is not offered.
  • The business class lounge and QP bars generally open at Noon.
  • Seating varies within the 73H's - for SYD-DRW it would be "Millenium" seating. I find this better than the newer seats in the NZ 73H's and the domestic new 332's.
Personally for SYD-DRW, I would make such a request, especially in the evening. (I believe most SYD-DRW flights have a proper meal served).
