I stayed twice in Sheraton Grand Shanghai this March. Overall it is a nice hotel and I couldn't find anything to complain, though the upgrade was just so-so because I was a Gold at that time. The hotel is between the real downtown and the airport, and is next to the Shanghai convention center. Some good Chinese restaurants are within walking distance. If you are addicted to SPG and need more luxury, I suggest you stay at St. Regis Pudong which offers similar rates but better services and hardware. The problem is this one is located in Pudong, the new developing area of Shanghai which is connected by a tunnel and three bridges. Traffic is really bad during rush hours.
