But the big question is, does Amex Platinum does this service complimentary or do you have to pay? So you are 100 miles away from home, something happens you're routed to ER, then you're out. Does Amex cover everything or do they charge you after everything is said and done?
the global assist service comes with the card at no additional charge. However, you would be responsible for the cost of a med-evac . Global Travel Shield is their travel insurance product. I prefer Access America or Travelex
