Did this actually change at that time and we missed it? Has anyone actually got TPs on an AA flight sold as a BA flight with a BA flight number?
Try this thread:

ba.com seems to say that AA flights booked under a BA code earn tier points:
Flight prefix: AA
Eligible subsidiaries include:
•American Eagle - AA
•Executive Airlines Inc - AA
•Chautauqua - AA
•Corporate Airlines - AA
•Trans States - AA
•American Connection - AA
Minimum Miles: 500 for Gold and Silver members only
British Airways Executive Club members can now earn and redeem miles and earn Tier Points on all American Airlines flights. This includes transatlantic flights and British Airways codeshare services operated by American Airlines booked under the BA code.
