Good to know about the flexibility with luggage allowance and I hope it applies to hand luggage as I might be a little above the 7kg limit and I would hope to have hand luggage only and check-in online to get a seat as far upfront as possible. I will be getting a visa on arrival in KTM (I only need a transit visa and you can't get these in advance) and was therefore hoping to leg it fast to the visa counter before queues build up.
By spring I mean when I purchase online. You cannot sit in the front of the plane without this premium. Most flights I'm on have these seats all taken. First 5 rows. It is like 50 for row 1, 40 for row 2, 30 for row 3 down to 5 after row 10 or something. If you don't select then you are assigned whatever but not in the first 5 rows. AED is what I'm talking as well. which is 3.65 or so to the dollar.
