You can request to be frisked by a member of the same sex. Most likely you won't need to (they'll do it anyway

) but you cannot insist. If you refuse to be frisked by a male, most likely you will simply be denied entry to the secure area.

However, "most likely" does not preclude some obnoxious screener(s) from invoking the TSA fine procedure which is an administrative matter not a criminal one. Unless you break the real law, not the TSA's .......ised version of it, you won't be arrested/jailed. Keep calm and polite throughout and I imagine all will be OK.
