There must something about that particular sofa. The last time I was in there someone was lying on it face down, wrapped in a blanket with her luggage spread out all around as if she were bedding down for the night. At first I thought she might be asleep, but then I noticed her yakking away on her cell phone from inside her sofa burrow.

Perhaps it's a just a PDX thing...
