Edit: Having re-read the posts I think it is the latter. In which case I don't see why you should be refunded. You chose to take less luggage - end of story.

Am asking for refund for overweight excess baggage.
Excess baggage was used and paid for. When I rechecked bags in again after 5 days, bags were not overweight.
