The industrys best program and best elite status. I am at the top tier at Marriott with Platinum.Also Diamond at Hyatt and Hilton and a handful of a few others nothing else compares.
There are sure to be bumps along the road to be polite at every hotel chain with some or more then some of the properties.While SPG can be a little off on a given day to follow up on a good will gesture they always come through in the end if is a legitimate true concern.Not always the day we would like it.But put your trust in these folks they will deliver.One may have to do some follow ups
Patience is sometimes needed and mine too has slipped at times.Personally I like it done yesterday but nobody ever seems to agree with me to get it done that way (grin)
Day before last another hotel company let me down with a week stay in Paris on their own
mistake after giving me a confirmation #.
Austin was kind enough jump to the rescue in peak season using almost all points for the entire week and upgrading me during peak season.This is not the first time Starwood has been heroic in a tight/peak situation.Platinum status has far more benefits then a great upgrade at more then a few properties.It is in the exceptional concern they have demonstrated to go above and beyond.Getting in one of their restaraunts on a busy evening to the little details that make this a great relationship.
Keep the faith better stays are ahead I can assure you
Like yourself I have run into a few less then exceptional properties here and there but I wouldn't be surprised if a rennovation is in the works as they have poured endless millions in upgradeing properties worldwide.
Just remind me how much I like then next time I'm gripeing about the 2 dollar per call
charge for an 800 call.
Starwood and its great promos once again this year makes this the program that excels and more important that delivers unconditionally ............
