Semi related bit of nostalgia:
When I was living in Manila in 2003 during SARS, I took advantage of a pretty sweet CX package. For $85 (all in): RT airplane ticket to HK, $100HK Octopus, RT airport xfer in Mercedes + 3 nights hotel.
