I have had my exec account for over a year now, signed up using the CHASE 50K VISA card bonus offer. In the meantime, I have accumulated 240K miles, but I have not been able to use them. Even months ahead, there are no award tickets available. Even 11 months ahead did not work. Then I checked Partner Airlines. They have plenty of award tickets available for their own mileage customers, unfortunately these same award tickets are not available to BA miles holders. To me it seems that ba miles have suffered a huge inflation, a very limited number of seats vs a large number of miles out there. Maybe this is just in Seattle, where we have few flights out per day, but maybe I am not the only one.
I feel a little duped, because I cannot use the miles for anything else than tickets. I would have been better off collecting reward points with Amex or cashback with other programs, instead of accumulating miles with BA.

Second, where are you trying to go, and when? I have found BA miles rather easy to redeem, both on BA and partner metal.
