Not totally the same case, but during the christmas snowstorms, Air France denied boarding at its domestic outstations to anyone who was flying on AF into CDG for a connection. Then again, that day, CDG was at something like 300% of its hotel capacity with thousands sleeping in the terminals and close to nil departures.
