Starbucks locations are starting to pop up in Paris, but there are so many other better coffee options that they are mainly frequented by tourists who don't know any better. I had some US colleagues over for work a few months ago and they took a taxi 3 miles to the Champs Elysees just to buy Starbucks coffees before our morning meeting. When I arrived in the conference room everyone had their Starbucks lined up on the table. I couldn't believe my eyes.
It was a bit distressing to see how full the Starbucks in Paris were on our trip. Now we did visit one, but that was because my wife was able to use her partner number to load her Starbucks partner card with our remaining Euros on the last day. Starbucks doesn't charge a fee for currency exchange so we were able to get rid of the 5-euros worth of change and use the money back home.
