Those are two interesting connecting points, especially the first. There is also a certain amount of rejiggering of routes underway. Just a few days ago, I noticed that a flight I booked on UA metal from DEN to EWR had become a UA code share on CO. Looking into things further, I learned that almost all flights from DEN to EWR now are or soon will be CO, with only a couple of UA flights remaining.
