Given the advice I was given in this thread I called Starwood to tell them I had made a "mistake" and put in the wrong SWA account number. When I was talking to the customer service person they indicated that their Action Response team (whatever that is) would look at it over the next 48-72 hours and work on putting the points back in to my account. In the interim I have created an SPG account for my wife to be able to move points over to her and then transfer so the names match. Thanks for the advice.
