Question - regarding interesting United flight - OKC - IAH, CRJ-700, United 4682
I fly frequently in and out of OKC for work and today I was doing a flight search to change my flight to something earlier and while looking for options I came across a flight that I hadn't seen before...
UA 4682, OKC - IAH on a CRJ-700
So I thought it was interesting to see this flight for a couple reasons: odd to start to see United flights to / from IAH that are traditionally CO flights starting to be operated as core United (sorta thought that they would expand CO flights to OKC from IAH vs. a United Express flight); odd given the CO vs. United pilots contract differences and how it is that they are poking right at the CO pilots with the CRJ-700 into IAH; and it wasn't a code share at all...
I had a CO ticket and I thought .. okay i'll jump on the UA flight since it probably was a codeshare but no go..so odd its not a code share either... but since it was a full fare ticket anyway i just re-purchased on united... so worked for me regardless.
Anyway - any other experiences with new United and or Continental flights (that aren't codeshared the other way) that are crossed hubbed (meaning United from IAH, CLE, etc. and CO from DEN, ORD, etc.) ....??
or is this is just on-ward path of expansion to the new United and rather than doing it with CO flights and coverting later, just do it under the United name now.... or are they trying to push the CO pilot issue of UX flying the 70 seaters..
thanks for your thoughts...
