I was at the Dolphin for four nights up until about six days ago. The housekeeping was so bad, that they might as well already been on strike.
An example. Upon checking in I noticed a tent card in the room, that they only changed the sheets every four days, unless you request otherwise. So I called housekeeping to tell them to change it daily. The gentleman who took my request, sounded almost incredulous that I would even ask for such an "amenity".
I took a ball point pen and made an "X" on the inside of the pillowcase, to test whether they would actually change it. Next afternoon, the "X" was still there. I called the "Guest Hotline" to ask that they honor my request, the woman took the message down and said she would pass it on. As you might guess, they never changed it throughout the stay. And, there were other problems...
