I am a Mariott Gold and booked the AAA rate for a Studio on the Mariott website for a stay over the Christmas weekend. When i checked in i was upgraded to a One Bedroom Suite on the 68 th floor on the East Tower with a view of the strip facing Aria and MGM. I did'nt expect even this. I did call them to enquire if i had the option of a late checkout as a Mariott Gold and the reply was that they did not offer Late checkout benefits.
I used all of their facilities ( the pool, restaurant, casino etc) and i can say that this was one of the best hotel stays i have had.
They did offer me a choice between studio facing the fountains and one bedroom facing Aria etc. I took the studio and I'd do it again if offered. 600+ sqft rooms are large enough and watching the fountains from the deck with the rest of north strip in the background is a great Vegas experience. While I've had fountain view rooms before at PH, Paris and Caesar's, none of them had balconies. Big ^^ to Cosmopolitan on that.
