This has happened before more than once. MyPoints used to have a transfer to HHonors provision. It was decent. Then it was devalued at least twice with no notice whatsoever and for the longest time the HHonors pages about partners wasn't updated.

My suspicion is that the "partners" may get to make unilateral changes and may themselves fail to inform HHonors.

The other airline --> HHonors is HA, and I wonder how long before it gets devalued too (at least you don't have to have status or 25K miles to make that transfer - so far)
