It was very OLD news ... "19th May 1974, the IRA planted a series of bombs in the Terminal 1 car park injuring 2 people." My car was actually parked on the level directly above the bomb vehicle, which shook a lot of mud and rust out of the wheel arches. It was a bit weird seeing it stood there, wheels tucked under and surrounded by this fringe of debris. However, we all went on our way ... a bit disturbed, but uninjured. I do remember us all being evacuated to somewhere air-side, where we stood for an hour or so, and wonderful ground staff coming round with red cherries to keep us refreshed. ^
