I agree about CX; even if I can 8 hours of sleep, that still leaves (in the case of LAX-HKG) 7 hours of feeling like a sardine in solitary confinement... but, I guess that's why CX is rolling out yet another generation of biz class so quickly.

Apart from CX, I also experienced lie flat on UA (C and F) last year. Those flights were inferior (in terms of sleep and just about everything else, save IFE) to my "angled flat" flights on JL, NH, and OZ.

Sure, UA's seats are more comfortable, and the food is a wash, but some airlines' cabin personnel seem to do a better job of anticipating the types of service touches that are most likely to facilitate positive customer experiences.
