As an AS elite flying AS metal on a DL codeshare, you can land an upgrade in any of the following ways:

1) Use online checkin for your AS flight at T-24. Make sure the FF number is your AS MVPG number. On the 2nd screen, there is an area in the upper left corner that will include links to change to an earlier or later flight. If there is upgrade space available, it will also show a link to request an upgrade. Click it and you should be confirmed into F immediately.
2) Show up at the airport as early as you like on the calendar day of departure. Request to be upgraded or waitlisted by the TA.
3) Request to be upgraded by the GA.
