Can someone please clarify? I have a PNR from MEL-LHR on Qantas (award points), then a separate PNR from LHR-AMS on BA (paid) so same alliance. Both bookings are under my Qantas FF, and both show up under my bookings on the Qantas website.

Will I be able to check my bags through to Amsterdam, and will Qantas/BA know of the LHR-AMS route in case, for whatever reason, the MEL-LHR flight gets in late (and auto-book to next available flight)?
