Past reports are not good. But please do us all a favor.

Push the suite thing. If they tell you none are available, take your room, go and call SPG and see if they are lying to you. If so, ask to speak to a manager to get to the bottom of it. When no manager speaks with you, post it here, and William will make the hotel aware that they are being talked about unfavorably. Maybe then you will get compensated for your trouble and their noncompliance.

If, however, you do get a suite, please let us know. It would be rare, happy news, kind of like the birth of a Panda. Maybe it would be a sign that the past bad reviews not longer are valid.
