Don't care much for the catering; airline food is bad for you anyway. What matters when flying overnight is the bed - the flatter the better. End of story. Nice pillow and blanky is nice too, and in F the mattress some airlines offer does wonders too. But a full-flat is what it's all about.
If it's daytime then some lie-flatish-with-bit-of-an-angle seats can be a tad more comfy than a full flat when in upright mode. But the difference is pretty marginal, and whatever minor drawback a full-flat may have in that area, pales into insignificance when it's time to catch some shut-eye.
