When I check in for my Delta flight do I tell them then about these three mileage plans? I called Delta to ask about the procedure, but all I understood was that yes, I was a Sky Miles member.

I really want to be certain that I get those Alaska Airlines miles. Thanks.
As pointed out by BLI-Flyer above, you can earn miles in one and only one of these accounts. In my mind, it makes sense to think about which airline you'll likely fly most, and earn miles in that account - many people have many different approaches, but I find that for airlines that I fly infrequently, it is much easier to apply those miles into a partner account that I already have open and use more frequently. In your case, it sounds like you haven't had a skymiles number for long, so perhaps it makes the most sense for you to choose between Alaska and Hawaiin to earn those miles in. On the other hand, if you anticipate you're going to be flying Delta a lot from now on, it might be best to credit all of your Delta, Alaska, and Hawaiian flying into your Delta account.

One other thing to emphasize is that you might want to take your skymiles number out of this reservation and put in the number you choose right away. Sometimes you forget at check-in, and sometimes the agent makes a mistake or forgets. If those flights are credited to your skymiles account, there is no reversing that or changing your mind.
