That's my experience too Steve. Basically, it seems like declaring anything to these guys is counterproductive because that's guaranteed to send you to secondary screening and to delay you with additional questioning.

If you're sneaking contraband into the country (something I do not condone), then declaring anything on a customs form is about as dumb as it gets.
