Last September I booked a January 17, 2011 flight on Delta, before I had the Delta Sky Miles number and before I had any understanding about partners and miles.
When I check in for my Delta flight do I tell them then about these three mileage plans? I called Delta to ask about the procedure, but all I understood was that yes, I was a Sky Miles member.

You want the mileage number for the program you want to earn miles on in your reservation. If you want to earn Alaska miles, call Delta and ask them to add your Alaska Mileage Plan number to your reservation. You don't need to give them all of your FF numbers since you can only earn mileage for one plan per flight.
