I also received the junior suite as Plat last September. The executive lounge was quite nice though during cocktail / high-tea time.
Next time you might want to stay some nights at a different *Wood property, the St. Regis Beijing, where you may get a Diplomat Ste (more than a Junior), much more modern facilities including a recently opened spa and pool complex.
