Any suggestions how I should navigate security/customs? Do I still need to visit the connecting transit security clearance first? Or should I go to the normal security route? Any help would be appreciated!
You would need to go through immigration and customs, then go upstairs to the post office, mail the gift, and go through departures security like an NRT-originating passenger.
