If bought in the UK, but ex-EU A class may well be fully flexible. This is the often less well understood reason for ex-EU bookings, even when you don't save money the additional flexibility is valuable. I wouldn't ever thinking of spending much more than £1500 on a non-refundable, non-changeable fare.
I had thought that even I class generally had limited flexibility if bought in the EU (e.g. 200 euro change fees)?
